PhD programme

Last-JD-RIoE is a fully integrated Doctoral programme. In order to develop real interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange, candidates will constitute a single group for the first 6 months. Then they will take different tracks: UNITO, UAB or MRU for the second term, UL, KUL or LUH for the third one. Visiting at least three universities with different kinds of departments will allow candidates to work in different research environments: Computer Science (UNITO, UL). Law (UNIBO, UNITO, UAB, UL, LUH, KUL) and Ethics (UNIBO, UAB, KUL).

Candidates who specialize in Computer Science will be hosted by UNITO, UL and UPM. Those who specialize in IT Law will be hosted by UNIBO, UAB, MRU, LUH, UNIVIE. Those who specialize in IT Law and Ethics will be hosted by KUL and may collaborate with partner organizations such as OBD Barcelona. Industrial partner organizations constitute opportunities for internships, e.g., candidates
who specialize in Computer Science may spend their internship at CELI or APIS.
